2 - 9 April, 2009 Australian Champ Camp - 2009

Hi everyone,

Pete and I went to Marysville today to get organised for next years Champ Camp. We will be staying at the Marysville Caravan and Holiday park and they have arranged for us all to be in the same area whether we are under canvas, caravanning or in their cabins.

As we will be staying their as school holidays start we all need to book now. I have included their web page, email address and attached the price list for the various accommodations they have. They have agreed to keep 2008 prices for us all for next year.

Please note, we have to leave their park on Thursday 9th April as it is booked out for Easter already. Please let me know when you book and how many people so we can keep a check on who is coming.

The cabin with the Q size bed is available to who ever, but that is the only bed in that cabin. Most others have a double bed and bunks in them. Please confirm with them either by phone or email what you want. The prices for the first three cabins include all bedding (sheets pillows etc). Refer to their web page for more details and pictures.

The web page for the park is www.marysvillecaravanpark.com.au and their email address is enquiries@marysvillecaravanpark.com.au

Make sure you tell them it is for the Champ Camp in April 2009 (2nd to 9th).

We have also arranged for the official Champ Camp Dinner to be held at the local hotel. It will be soup and then a choice of Roast or fish and chips. Cost at this stage is $20 per person. Should you want desserts then you pay! However the manager said there servings are quite large and you probably wont want dessert. Buy your own drinks. We will have a room to ourselves so wont be bothered by other customers. It is walking distance, almost crawling distance, from the park.

As we pre drive all the actual routes for each day we will send a few pictures so you see what we are planning. I have taken note of everything people spoke to me about, re what they want to do, and we are endeavouring to cater for all of you.

The camp will be more like the ‘Tassie’ trip, including morning tea! All will get maps, directions and bypass routes for certain sections for each days travelling. Their will be the standard welcome dinner for everyone on the first night, supplied by Pete and myself, which will be a BBQ. BYO alcohol.

We welcome any comments and suggestions from EVERYONE so that we can make the camp a great experience. I have a limited contact list for this event, please anyone who knows of someone I have left out please let me have their details so I can add them to my list.

Dust or MUD it will be FUN.
