Champ at Suez 1956
Photo is of a Champ at Suez in November 1956 with 9th Independent
Parachute Sqn Royal Engineers, 16th Independent Airborne Brigade.
The white "H" was the tactical sign for Operation Musketeer
[Suez 1956]. Why "H" ? This was due to the original
name being Operation Hamilcar, the name was changed to Musketeer.
No time was left to paint "M" over the "H".
The markings for this vehicle were the Pegasus sign with 48 in
white on a cobalt blue square.
