I am a school teacher and live on campus at Geelong Grammar School inVictoria, Australia. I am married to Kerri and have 3 children, Joanna 12, Mandy 10, and Robert 9. My other love's are my collection of Austin Champs, some of which I have owned since 1977. As you will see here they are in various stages of restoration. We are wondering just how many Austin Champs built still exist, hence this site. My First Champ 1977-1979 Bought it in 1977 and drove it the 4000 miles to Ayres Rock in Central Australia with no problems at all.I did further trips around the state and interstate in it, covering some 20000 miles in the 3 years. Had an Aluminium hard top with perspex windows. Had 2 holes drilled in the top of the windscreen brackets to support a roof rack. Civilian rego was IWF-630 Victoria 1977 Believe it or not, I dont know it's chassis number... sold it in 1979
