History: Used in Performance and Reliability test of Champ to evaluate various design changes introduced during production and more recent modifications. Report No: FT/B.412 dated 11 June 156. Total mileage covered: 24,332, laden [800 lbs] and un-laden, also towing a laden 10 cwt Trailer. Roads were Rough, Mountain, Cross Country and Suspension courses. Speeds: Roads: 30 mph, Cross Country: 20 mph.
The up-to-date production Champ performed very well under extreme operating conditions. It performed up to the required standards. The vehicle was given a base overhaul after the test. During the testing, the vehicle was serviced according to the current War Office Servicing Schedule
