Ron bought this vehicle in 2008 when he was 83 years old.  The two bottom photographs were supplied by his son.

Thought to have been previously located in London.

THE BLUE SQUARE WITH YELLOW CROWN AND TWO ARROWS WAS 54th [EAST ANGLIAN] INFANTRY DIVISION [TERRITORIAL ARMY] WITH ITS HQ IN COLCHESTER.

 
THE DIVISION WAS REFORMED ON 31 OCTOBER 1956 AND COVERED THE COUNTIES OF NORFOLK, SUFFOLK, CAMBRIDGESHIRE, HUNTINGDONSHIRE, BEDFORDSHIRE, HERTFORDSHIRE AND MOST OF ESSEX.
 
IT WAS RENAMED 54th [EAST ANGLIAN] DIVISION/DISTRICT IN 1961 AND WAS DISBANDED ON 1 APRIL 1967.
 
IT CAME UNDER THE CONTROL OF EASTERN COMMAND.
 
THE RED 40 ON WHITE OVER BLUE SQUARE IS FOR: HQ, 54th [EAST ANGLIAN] DIVISIONAL SIGNALS REGIMENT [TA] WHICH WAS REFORMED ON 31 OCT 56 FROM HQ-61st SIGNALS REGIMENT IN BEDFORD.  
 
HQ MOVED TO CAMBRIDGE FROM BEDFORD IN 1961.
 
THE 54th WAS RENAMED 54th [EAST ANGLIAN] SIGNALS REGIMENT [TA] IN 1959 AND CEASED TO EXIST ON 1 APRIL 1967.
 
DIVISIONAL HQ AND SIGNALS REGIMENT PROVIDED RADIO, RADIO RELAY AND SIGNALS DESPATCH SERVICE BETWEEN MAIN AND REAR DIVISION HQ AND BRIGADES HQS. IT ALSO ADMINISTERED THE DIVISION HQ.
 
YOUR VEHICLE MIGHT HAVE BEEN USED BY THE COMMANDER, ROYAL SIGNALS OF 54th [EAST ANGLIAN] SIGNALS REGIMENT [TA] IN BEDFORD AND LATER IN CAMBRIDGE.
 
THE RANK WAS COLONEL AND SOMETIMES THE WORDS "C.R.SIGNALS" WAS APPLIED IN WHITE TO CENTRE FRONT OF BONNET.
