 History:

The Register was contacted in Nov 2007, by Mike Copland who lives in Portugal and met the owner at a local classis car meet.  Mike says:  "It still runs it around on its original army plates and the police don't trouble him because they know it's English and simply don't understand !  The owner speaks no English simply refers to it as a Rolls Royce, he's even put a Spirit of Ecstasy mascot on the bonnet, now that must be a sight to see and I've asked him to find us a photo. The owner knows nothing about it, didn't even know it was called a Champ and, so far, hasn't needed any spare parts, he's owned it for nine years. Mike was uncertain whether he bought it in Angola or bought it when he was living in Angola but Angola played a part in the story."

Must have come to Portugal via Mozambique [Portuguese East Africa].
