| History: |
In April 2009 John contacted the Register and said the following: " I inherited an Austin Champ from my grandfather. I am slowly restoring it. My chassis number is WN1-084, WO Reg: 00 BE 84, engine: 1011. I will send pictures. I would like to register my vehicle on your site: condition: 2." This Champ was the transport during the Suez affair of the Commander in Chief, General C. Keithley and the Land Forces Commander Lt Gen H. Stockwell. Both are in this photo. The Champ carried a wireless and various other "Extras". I have it on video. Port Said, Suez, Egypt. November 1956 |
