The picture is of an Austin Champ and a Rover Mk2 serving with 8th Bn Durham Light Infantry [TA], 151 [North Durham] Infantry Brigade [TA], 50 [Northumbrian] Infantry Division [TA] before 1961/62. The Austin Champ: Chassis-WN1-8792, WO Reg-87 BE 92, Engine-60448, DiS: 20 Jan 55, RV-EGL/R/6042, S/O-Rud 17 Nov 66. Private sale, possible to Australian dealer?. Note the wing mirror on n/s front wing of Champ.

The TT of 50 Div can be seen under n/s headlight of the Champ and unit number 69 on brown under o/s headlight and on rear of Land Rover. 69 on brown indicated the junior inf bn in the junior inf bde of an inf div.

The Truck 1/4 Ton 4x4 GS Rover Mk2 was from WO Contract 6/Veh/7711. WO Reg-03 BH 38, was Chassis-26101795, Engine-26103212, DiS-5 Nov 51, RV-ASC/R/5114, S/O-Bowhouse 27 April 62. Note the non standard location of rear reflectors [Should be on brackets bolted to rear crossmember] and the change of rear lights for stop/tail and flashers. When new, the rear lights were the standard D shape versions [stop/tail] and trafficators on windscreen was standard on all WD Land Rover [WO, RN and RAF].
